Here you will find the names of a number of different types of surveys and reports we offer.  Different types of homes require differing types of surveys. ​

We provide the following surveys and reports:​

Home Buyers Report

This is for a modern and conventional building in fairly good condition with no obvious defects. Basic visual survey including the major elements of the building with overall guidance for remedial works and ongoing maintenance.

Building Survey

A building survey is the most thorough and detailed visual report that you can commission on the condition of a property covering the make up and fabric of the building and a room by room description and comment on any issues that would need attention either immediately or in the future.

Damp Report

This is a report which will look solely at the affect of damp and its cause in your property.

Specific Defect Survey

As the name suggests this is a report commissioned by the susceptive home owner/ owner on an area of specific concern and can cover a wide variety of subjects.

Home Buyers Report

This is our entry-level survey for a property purchase. We offer this survey for properties that are older, or of traditional construction but of an age where maintenance issues are starting to arise​. For a brief explanation please watch the video ‘the importance of getting a home buyers report’. 

  • Advise you on any maintenance and repair issues
  • General overview of property condition
  • Suitability of the property.​

​The cost of these surveys varies as does the size and complexity of the properties they cover. But generally ranges from £550.00 – £800.00. If you feel this is the report for you please contact us.


Priced around £650-£1050

Building Survey

This is the most comprehensive report which we recommend if the property is larger, older, in a conservation area, unique or in need of repair/renovation.​
If you are unsure if your property requires a building survey please watch the short video What survey do I need?

  • The survey will look deeper into the fabric of the building.
  • Our Surveyor will use a condition rating system so you can determine present/future costs.​

​If you have any specific concerns let us know and we can concentrate on these areas.​​ The cost of these surveys vary as do the size and complexity of properties they cover, but generally range from £650 – £1050. ​If you feel this is the survey for you please contact us.

Damp Report

All our Damp Surveys are bespoke and will vary in the amount of content, but will have the following information in them.​

  • A summary of the condition found.
  • The extent of the issue (as far as can be determined within the confines of the survey)
  • A recommendation as to how to remedy the problem.
  • A broad-brush costing of the work to be undertaken.

The cost of these surveys vary as do the size and complexity of the properties they cover, but generally range from £150 – £550. If you feel this is the survey for you please contact us.

Specific Defect Survey

We offer this type of report for areas of specific concern to you as a property owner, the report will give you the following:

  • The area of concern and its effect on surrounding building elements.
  • The likely cause of the defect. 
  • The long term effects of taking no action.
  • A recommendation as to how to remedy the problem.
  • A broad-brush costing of the work to be undertaken.
